Revolutionizing the cinema and theatre experience, the first season of the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company Live brings to the big screen a unique escapade: The Winter’s Tale, Shakespeareʼs classic tragicomedy of obsession and redemption.

Gripping performances and an artistic re-imagining of the classic lends The Winter’s Tale an aura of fine production. Judi Dench as Paulina steals the show, with Adam Garcia as Lord Amadis and Kenneth Branagh as Leontes making this version a vibrant and mesmerizing production of glittering brilliance.

Co-directed by Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh, The Winter’s Tale tells the story of King Leontes, whose jealousy results in him risking his power, wealth, loving family and trusted friends.

Perhaps the most striking element is the use of visuals and colours. What’s even more delighting is this newfound weird sense of watching a play and a movie at the same time, the performances so realistic yet choreographed.
