After having left the rest of the country in stitches with his outspoken and unapologetic sense of humour, the king of comedy and cabaret, Reuben Kaye is back to perform APOCALIPSTIK.

Kaye will sport his signature red lipstick on stage at the Sydney Comedy Festival.

The show comments on the state of affairs in the world, including everything from global warming to the cost of living crisis. Reuben gives us the run-down on how the world is ending, with a bit of satirical spoken word before a crescendo into his famous cabaret style song and dance. But there is more to the story than just society’s collapse.

Kaye traverses the scandalous story of his devious distant relative, uncle Helmut. A man he has only met once in his life, but about whom he is able to intrigue the audience. Reuben is backed by a musical arrangement from Shannon D. Whitelock, making his performance all the more scintillating.

There is undoubtedly no one quite like Reuben Kaye, who is able to use political incorrectness as a tool to his advantage. He shows us that while there is much that is wrong with the world, there is still plenty to laugh about.
