You’re expecting a bundle of joy, but what turns up instead is a bundle of trouble … Alex & Eve: The Baby by the Bulldog Theatre company, is a continuation of the Alex & Eve series (last instalment, unsurprisingly, The Wedding) and explores the tricky crib-side questions the crop up when you have a baby wearing two very different booties: Lebanese-Muslim and Greek Orthodox. The original Alex & Eve (where the love blossoms between balding high school teacher and a beautiful corporate type) is slated for a big screen release in 2012 – a testament to the show’s steamroller success since 2009. Past incarnations have included TV star Zoe Carides (sister to Anthony LaPaglia’s squeeze Gia) and this season looks set to sell-out too … so book now or risk missing the big delivery. (AB)
