YARN STORYTELLING

YARN STORYTELLING

Got a story to spill? Who doesn’t ? According to our favourite multicultural broadcasting station, there are seven billion and counting – thankfully at Yarn you won’t have to hear quite so many on the one night. The aim of this new bi-monthly event is foremost to entertain but also to provide human connection and get back to the roots of oral histories and rollicking retellings round the ‘campfire’ (read: pub table). The yarns must be true, no longer than seven to ten minutes long, and told sans script.  The next get-together is pencilled in for Nov 7th – if you are interested in taking part email: yarnsydney@gmail.com. Or just go along on the night and sit back with a schooey for a story or two. (AB)
