THE COLOUR BLIND SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL

THE COLOUR BLIND SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL

It’s a natural match: the rainbow flag-flying Mardi Gras festival and The Colour Blind Project, celebrating theatre talent of all colours and backgrounds. Says the Festival co-director, “The LGBT community should be a haven of acceptance and refuge, but many LGBT individuals from racial minorities do not find the protection and recognition they deserve.” With the line-up including a short play by Bradley Vincent whose 2010 Memento Mori was described as, “The best gay play ever seen,” as well as a charity gala fronted by Aussie folk group Portable Junk, the well-deserved recognition couldn’t have come any sooner.
