THE BLUE ANGEL HOTEL

THE BLUE ANGEL HOTEL

Grace (Gael Ballantyne) is the owner of The Blue Angel Hotel in a small, rural town known for its jail. When not mothering her clientele – the wives and girlfriends of the inmates – she eagerly anticipates her husband’s return. Grace is a stickler for routine but when a mysterious stranger appears she is willing to bend her self-inflicted rules.

Written by Katie Pollock, this prison drama investigates why women fall for dangerous men and the impact it has on them. Pollock and director Aarne Neeme cleverly avoid being preachy or moralistic and the end result is a fascinating exploration into human nature.
