THE BLIND DATE PROJECT

THE BLIND DATE PROJECT

In a darkened karaoke bar, we witness an intimate moment of vulnerability, hope, and chance.

“Hello? Is it me you’re looking for?”

The Blind Date Project, conceived by wide-eyed waif Bojana Novakovic (AFI Award winner and writer and performer in The Story of Mary MacLane By Herself) along with Mark Winter, is an experiment one part theatre, one part improvisation.

Novakovic is the woman waiting … only it’s not just us, the audience, who doesn’t know who she’s waiting for.

Guided by text message only, and operated sans script or rehearsal, each night is totally different as Novakovic navigates the treacherous minefield of modern dating in real time.

Saying to a Brisbane newspaper that she literally sh**s herself before she sits at that bar because it is so, “exciting and scary,”Novakovic also credits the mistakes as the most thrilling to watch.

Go in blind. We dare you.
