SYDNEY HILLS SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK

If you haven’t had a reason for a road trip, the Sydney Hills Shakespeare in the Park may just be the excuse you needed. The Hills Shire Council has recruited Sport for Jove theatre company’s Damien Ryan, also an international touring actor and director with the Bell Shakespeare Company, to put together a double treat of Romeo & Juliet and As You Like It in the historical Bella Vista Farm. Ryan says, “The great advantage of Bella Vista Farm is that it contains so many different theatrical spaces. We can really create the court and the forest in a unique and immersive way. And, of course, we have a balcony!” So pack the cheese and crackers, and slip in your best bottle of wine for a truly magical Shakespeare in the Park.
