RUBY MOON

RUBY MOON
Six-year-old Ruby Moon has gone missing, leaving her parents distraught. Struggling with the trauma, her mother Sylvie is haunted by her old children’s books, games and songs. When a doll’s arm appears anonymously in their mailbox, the couple must retrace the steps of her disappearance to find the answers. Playing with the myths of fairy tales, director Sarah Giles turns the stage into an unsettling mental landscape of pain and uncertain identity. As the marriage breaks down, we are left with a haunting and very compelling exploration of how it feels to lose a child. Eliza Rogan and Jo Turner are wonderfully creepy as the desperate parents as well as a host of colourful and sometimes eerie neighbours who each have a story to tell.  STC Ed is a series of productions for young adults, but Ruby Moon will entertain viewers of all ages.
