It’s being touted as the next Eras Tour: Liam and Noel Gallagher are reuniting Oasis for a global tour across the UK, Ireland, North America and here in Australia for 2025. This will be the first time they have performed together since walking off at  the Rock en Seine festival in Paris back in 2009.

The band at this stage have announced two shows for next year on our shores, Melbourne October 31st and Sydney November 7th. Yet as with the announcement of all big concerts, now comes the gruelling experience of securing tickets.

Chaos ensued in the UK with  hundreds of thousands of keen fans spending hours in the queue for tickets, paying upwards of 400 pounds for basic standing tickets if they weren’t kicked out of the queue entirely.

This fiasco was accredited to Ticketmaster and Live Nation’s monopoly over the live music industry. When it’s our turn to get our hands on some tickets, will we face the same issues?

The major problem currently is the fact that there are only two shows announced, one for each city, whereas the UK have numerous lined up; there are five in Manchester’s Heaton Park alone. However, with already exceedingly large demand, expect to see more shows announced soon.

The presale will begin  next Monday at 12pm in Melbourne and 2pm in Sydney. The presale ballot on the Oasis fan club website has closed at the time of the article. Reports have shown that those trying to get onto the ballot were faced with multiple questions testing their knowledge of the band and their discography, including the list of songs that have been featured on Triple J’s Hottest 100 list.

When the general sale for tickets becomes active next Tuesday at 10am in Melbourne and 12pm in Sydney, prices are currently ranging from $187.39 to $411.67 for the Sydney show and $183.28 to $407.57 for Melbourne. There has been assurance from Ticketmaster that there will be no practice of dynamic pricing which caused all the trouble over in the UK and that prices will remain fixed despite large demand. However, one thing is certain – it’ll be a bloodbath for tickets either way.

Oasis will be playing in Melbourne on Friday 31st October, 2025 at Marvel Stadium and Sydney Thursday 7th November, 2025 at Accor Stadium.
