A class act

By KYE ANSON
Directed by Zoey Dawson, Class Act is a modern Australian satirical take on My Fair Lady, incorporating the childhood experiences of Mish Grigor. The play highlights her struggles growing up in the western suburbs of Sydney and how this particular area was looked down upon throughout her childhood.
Self-proclaimed bogan, Grigor uses humour to tell the story of a who is subject to the struggles of the Australian class system. She is joined on stage by dancer, Alice Dixon, who uses interpretive movement to punctuate Grigor’s monologue.
In a true demonstration of class distinction, a dozen tickets at each performance will be available for patrons who would like to upgrade to front row seats and enjoy High Tea with the show.
