FRENCH FILM FESTIVAL: A Happy Event
When Barbara meets Nicolas at her local video store, they soon fall in love. Theirs is a sex-fuelled, carefree courtship and as the natural cycles abide, they decide to seal their love with a child. Barbara undergoes a dramatic physical and emotional transformation, while her boyfriend looks blithely on. Once the baby arrives, Barbara struggles to reconcile her former self with her role as a mother, and she is forced to re-examine her life.
