FESTIVAL INSIDE OUT
It’s encouraging how much further the Sydney Festival is spreading its arms this year. While still a very city-centric caper, events at Parramatta’s Riverside Theatre, Campbelltown Arts Centre and the streets of Minto are finally giving the ’burbs a deserved look-in. This collaboration between the Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Sydney Dance Company is a welcome addition to Western Sydney’s dance-card. The focus is Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, with Rafael Bonachela’s explosive 2010 hit 6 Breaths powering alongside performances by Western Sydney artists, youMove and the Parramatta String Players, all under the summer-hazed Southern Cross.
