The Eternity Playhouse is located in the heart of Darlinghurst, what was once the Burton Street Tabernacle Church, is now an iconic theatre and arts centre. In 2013, the heritage listed building became home to the Darlinghurst Theatre Company, collaborating with the City of Sydney and Tonkin Zulaikha Greer architectural team to restore and renovate the venue into a unique and stylish space, fusing the original 1880’s historical features with a new contemporary design.
The Theatre Company is one of largest employers of artists and arts workers in the small to medium and not for profit sector. The company is renowned for its dedication to the integrity and production of artists visions, and their commitment to access, equity and inclusion. The theatre operates with the purpose to invite Australia’s finest theatre makers to their stage, whilst prioritising marginalised voices and creating a centre of artistic connection and community.
