Acknowledging excellence on Australian screen

Screen Producers Australia (SPA) is a membership industry organisation that advocates for and promotes the work of Australians in film and television. The prestigious SPA Awards, held annually, recognises outstanding productions by members across thirteen categories in film and television including children’s, documentary, animated, drama, comedy, short film, entertainment, online, reality, telemovie/miniseries, feature film.

The finalists for the 2022 SPA Awards have just been announced. They represent content screened between July 1, 2021 and December 21, 2022 that show imagination, skill, originality, and integrity. Voting is open to SPA members with winners being announced on May 5, 2023 as the finale for the organisation’s Screen Forever 37 conference on the Gold Coast.

“We continue to be impressed by the incredible talent, creativity, originality, and ingenuity of our producers and their productions. The work of our finalists announced today highlights the success of our sector driven by the businesses that take the creative and financial risks to bring our nation’s screen stories to life,” said SPA CEO, Matthew Deaner.

“I congratulate those associated with each of these productions, as well as all the great work that has taken place this year.”
