Sydney Oceanic Art Fair 2023

The Oceanic Art Society is set to host its annual Sydney Oceanic Arts Fair (SOAF) at the end of this month. The fair will be held at the Cooee Art Leven Gallery in Redfern and will be expanded to appeal to a wider and diverse art community.
The SOAF features both historic and contemporary art from First Peoples around the globe, attracting a range of art lovers and collectors. Everyone will have an opportunity to purchase on-sale genuine and unique rarities from the Pacific, Australia, South East Asia, and other countries.

Since its establishment in 1997, the SOAF has been held in various Sydney locations. Along with the yearly art display and sale, the Oceanic Art Society runs regular presentations, lectures, and seminars. These include talks by qualified field researchers and collectors, and curators of art gallery exhibitions.

For the first time, the SOAF will host a Gala Preview for members the day before the art goes on sale. This social event will include a live auction hosted by Oceanic art expert Alex Philips, who has been collecting tribal art for over forty years.
To gain a further appreciation of Oceanic art and view a range of symbolic tribal works, do not miss this year’s upgraded SOAF.
