TRAPPED IN MYKONOS

TRAPPED IN MYKONOS

Trapped In Mykonos is the exciting debut of Gravas Productions and Director Antoinette Barbouttis.

Agamemnon (Anthony Hunt) prepares to set sail for Troy to retrieve his love Helen. It seems his plight is condemned even by the gods, leaving him no wind to sail and trapped on Mykonos. There, the idyllic setting of the island becomes a physical and mental prison. Tensions grow as Agamemnon is forced to choose between his heart and his mind, culminating with the question: What makes a hero?

When asked if Agamemnon is a hero Barbouttis replies, “No I don’t think so, [rather it’s] that contrast between him and his wife, it’s really up to the audience to take something away from that.”

Her Greek heritage and background in theatre design means this is sure to be a visually stunning production, “I wanted to get a concept that was driven by location; that resonated throughout the whole rehearsal process,” she says.

With a cast and crew full of new talent, Trapped In Mykonos is set to be an exciting, sexy, modern twist on one of the oldest love triangles in the book. (ATS)
