Tourists like to go where the locals go, and the locals will be flocking to The Rocks, Sydney’s oldest and most history-packed quarter.
“The Rocks Village Bizarre is about a whole lot of experiences that startle, surprise and delight you,” describes Michael Cohen, Creative Producer of The Rocks Village Bizarre events.
From the Cabinet of Curiosities to the Hole in the Sky pop-up bar, there’s a whole variety of odd and intriguing proceedings to get lost in.
There’s even a role-playing experience called The Rocks Push Game, run by performance artist Simone O’Brien, that you must be selected to participate in. Not to mention the bicycle-powered cinema and short film festival.
An initiative of the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, The Rocks Village Bizarre is a must-see in the lead up to Christmas, and a great way to unwind on a Friday night. (LG)
