The Reluctant Fundamentalist is a gripping tale of suspicion and fear post 9/11, told with a refreshingly non-western voice. Shot in five cities and sweeping across three continents it is a breathless race against the clock. The camera is never on a tripod, heightening the sense of unease and unpredictability – this is not the usual Hollywood schlock. Along the way it probes allegiances more fundamental than money, power and maybe even love. (GW)
