THE HANGOVER PART II

To say that The Hangover Part II has some big shoes to fill would be a gross understatement. As the sequel to the highest grossing R-rated comedy in American history, director Todd Phillips has had no choice but to try to raise the bar. Sadly, he just doesn’t get there. While there are plenty of laughs to be had, ultimately the whole experience lacks the spark of the original. Despite events being noticeably more elaborate, it can’t hide the fact that ‘The Wolf Pack’ are still treading exactly the same ground; albeit in a more exotic location.  That said, The Hangover Part II remains one of the best comedies this year, so those looking for a night of chuckles, look no further.
