THE BENNIES – RAINBOWS IN SPACE

An album that is vibrant and unrefined, Rainbows in Space carves its own genre as a party-punk banger that provides the urge to bounce off the walls of the local pub, beer glass in hand and its contents down the shirt.

It includes rapid guitar chords, diligent drumming patterns and typical yelling-in-tune with some prophetic Aussie diction.

The song Hold On provides a soulful vocal introduction, with the horns and guitar that follow leading into a lyrical rap. In contrast, Frankston Girls teeters on the brink of hardcore with its blood-pumping screams and chugging riffs.

It’s the quirky details that make this album a sonic feast.
