TELEVENTION

TELEVENTION

Calling all television addicts: your favourite characters are coming to life. Clare has once again glued her eyes to the small screen, but is not prepared for what happens next. Her beloved TV characters from Deadwood, Hawaii 5-0 and QI are staring back, and their intimate relationship flourishing in Clare’s imagination is becoming very real. It’s not an intervention; it’s a Televention.

A self-described ‘TV nut’ since childhood, playwright Clare Heuston has seen it all from Twin Peaks to True Blood and wants to share her entertaining experiences with the world. “If you’re invested enough in these characters and you’re passionate about them, you can use them to work through your thoughts,” explains Heuston. “Because of your investment in them and love for them, they can actually help you.”

Heuston promises a highly comedic show as a series of wild characters unfold in front of the audience – some new, some familiar, all quirky and insane. We see television and reality collide, but this production promises to be far more entertaining than reality television. “I hope people will feel vindicated in what they’ve taken from TV over the years. It’s incredible thinking about what the characters you love can do for you.”
