A NSW Sex Crimes Squad have arrested and charged four Sydney-based men following an investigation into a paedophile ring, which they allege was distributing “satanic” child sex abuse and torture material.

Initiated by State Crime Command’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit, the investigation under the name Strike Force Constantine was established in April to look into the online distribution of child sexual abuse involving ritualistic or satanic themes.

The investigation led to the uncovering of the Sydney-based paedophile network last month, consisting of the four arrested men who were found to be actively involved in possessing, distributing, and facilitating the satanic child abuse material through a website administered internationally.

On 27 November 2025, the NSW Police completed six search warrants in Waterloo, Ultimo and Malabar.

Self-described journalist covering paedophile rings played leading role, say police

Particularly noteworthy is the arrest of 26 year old Landon Germanotta-Mills that took place in Waterloo.

Germanotta-Mills is a self-described investigative journalist and founder of Underground Media Network, “an independent Australian investigative journalism platform committed to exposing institutional abuse, systemic failures, and the misuse of power,” the website states.

Police allege Germanotta-Mills played a leading role in this network and he was charged with seven counts of use carriage service make available child abuse, use carriage etc to access child abuse material, three counts of possess etc child abuse data-use carriage service, two counts of person disseminates bestiality material, and person possesses bestiality material.

Also arrested and charged were three men aged 46, 42 and 39 in Malabar. They too were charged with multiple counts for possesion or distribution of child abuse, bestiality material. The eldest was also charged for possession of prohibited drugs.

Commander of the Sex Crimes Squad Jayne Doherty explained that “thousands of files” were found and that the material shared within the group depicted torture of children involving symbols and rituals linked to satanism.

“Police will allege in court that the initial examination of those devices has discovered thousands of videos depicting the abuse of live children aged between five and 12 years of age,” said Doherty in a press conference, adding that videos depicting sexual abuse of animals were also found on electronic devices.

All four men have been refused bail and are scheduled to appear in court in late January next year.
