SPACE CHIMPS

There isn’t much to recommend about Space Chimps. A space probe gets transported across the universe through a wormhole, landing on a hospitable planet. NASA wants to investigate, but it’s too dangerous to risk human lives, so they decide to use chimpanzees. Three chimps have been training for space their whole lives, but NASA needs a media personality, so they recruit Ham III, grandson of the actual first chimp in space. He’s a cocky ne’er-do-well who works as a simian cannonball, so obviously he’ll have to make good if they are to survive. The alien dictator subplot and lame jokes are the final insult from this stinker. They don’t let animals throw faeces at spectators in the zoo, and you shouldn’t put up with this crap either. Avoid.
