SOPHIE HUTCHINGS – NIGHT SKY

Sophie stepped out of the family shadows again (brother Jamie best known for Bluebottle Kiss) with her second and equally beautiful album of ambient instrumental nu-classical music. It proved that the first wasn’t a fluke and showcases a musical and conceptual sophistication that is, I imagine, as appreciated in Classical circles as it is by kids who just want a come-down, late-night or Sunday morning record to dream to.
