SNITCH

Based on true events, this is the harrowing story of a man who becomes involved in the seedy world of drugs for his son. When young Jason (Rafi Gavron) is framed and arrested for drug dealing, his father John (Dwayne Johnson) makes a deal with a US Attorney (Susan Sarandon) to infiltrate and inform on a drug-dealing racket. However, in doing so, not only does he risk his own life but also that of his family.

Snitch is enthralling with great performances by Johnson and Sarandon. Action enthusiasts may find it slightly tedious as the story is fuelled on suspense rather than the high-powered action characteristic of Johnson’s previous work – a well-written film that should satisfy lovers of good crime dramas.
