Sniffing in the Grass
An increased police presence and blanket sniffer dog operations at Byron Bay’s annual Splendour in the Grass music festival caught 209 of the more than 35, 000 revellers with illegal substances.
As a result, officers issued 120 court attendance notices and 89 cannabis cautions.
Of the 209, a 30-year-old man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug and with allegedly 80 ecstasy pills in his possession.
