SING-A-LONG-A SOUND OF MUSIC

Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start… but before we do there are vocal warm-ups to be done, interactive fun-packs to explore and elaborate costumes to plan and admire.

All of this fun and more awaits the audience at Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music hosted by musical theatre celebrity Marika Aubrey. Chances are everyone knows The Sound of Music; it has been making generations of film fans feel good since 1965.

“I think it is a lot to do with the memories we make as we watch it. I also still think it’s a damn good film,” explains Aubrey.

During the screenings audience members are encouraged to participate with props such as confetti poppers for when the Captain and Maria finally kiss. There is a dress-up parade for fans to show off their creativity and for the rare few that don’t know the lyrics, there are song sub-titles displayed. “You’re experiencing it in a whole new way because you are interacting with the movie,” says Aubrey. “It’s such a fun event.”
