THUMBS UP: SCULPTURE BY THE SEA
Every year for the past 13 years, the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk becomes the spot where nature and art melds together as a result of inspired creativity. Whether it is a cheeky commentary on society, a clever use of space or simply an aesthetic marvel, the sculptures that line the mini parks, fields, cliffs, sand and float on water are a must-see. It is easy to get carried away by the outdoor work but don’t forget to visit Sculpture Inside in the marquee at Mark’s Park where smaller sculptures by up-and-coming and established artists are on display. This year, the public is also treated to artist talks at the Bondi Pavilion Gallery every Saturday and Sunday. Pack a lunch and enjoy the art, sea breeze and stunning views with the whole family.
