Incredibly, Scary Movie has spawned yet another sequel, indicating that this series still has a large fan base. Many high-profile Hollywood celebrities, including Charlie Sheen, appear in the fifth rehash of this spoof horror movie franchise. Borrowing key elements from many recent horror films including Paranormal Activity 4 and Mama, the ludicrous script asks what happened to Sheen’s three children after he was mysteriously taken by evil spirits?
It’s time for this series to come to a close as this sequel highlights that all original ideas have been exhausted. Poorly acted and scripted, the comedy feels forced and delivers few laughs. It’s vile and vulgar with production standards sinking to new lows. Scary that the popcorn was far more enjoyable than the movie!
