The Star Sydney is hosting a spectacular array of multi-coloured entertainment to help celebrate Sydney WorldPride. From February 17 to March 4, the foyer, bars, and galleries will be alive with roving performers, lively music and a general party atmosphere as The Star transforms into Rainbow Central.

Each Friday and Saturday night during WorldPride, the Grand Foyer will become a mainstage for the glitterati of drag. Carla From Bankstown, Kita Mean (Drag Race Down Under), Coco Jumbo and Beverly Kills, and Anita Wigl’it are some of the drag elite that will fill the foyer with their radiance from 7pm to 8pm – and it’s all gratis.

Plus, The Star’s incredible Aqualume acrobatic aerial dance performance – will continue its season in the Grand Foyer every Thursday to Sunday at 8:30pm, 10:15pm and 11:15pm with a stunning WorldPride-theme.

Specially curated to feature multi-coloured silks and vibrant costumes in honour of the festival, the world-class digital art show and aerialist performance complete with lasers and cascading curtains of water is an incredible spectacle and is totally free.

After the foyer shows, head over to Cherry Bar for high-energy dance tunes and enjoy colourful cocktails courtesy of Belvedere, including an iconic rainbow-layered vodka spritz.

For a more contemplative sensory experience, visit the latest exhibtion, Mustang, by photographic artist and costume maker Gerwyn Davies at the Michael Reid Art Bar. In a series of never-before-seen photography and video footage, Gerwyn explores the unruly narrative of an imaginary queer blockbuster, in which he, buried beneath camp costumes, portrays a faceless hero-cum-heartthrob as he appears in a series of filmic tropes and cliches.
