POTATO POTATO – POTATO POTATO

Potato Potato are a folk band from Byron Bay and their self-titled EP embodies everything about the laid-back summer haze that is associated with beachside Byron.

First track Memories sets the tone with whimsical harmonies and plucky beats. Devil By Her Side sounds something akin to Mumford and Sons if they had a female vocalist, while Everything is Coming Back is an energetic crest.

Although there are only five tracks, they are upbeat original folk-pop tunes driven by foot stomping bass drum and rich vocals. It’s worth listening to the ‘Taters’. (LL)
