ORANGES & LEMONS

Oranges and Lemons is a solo art exhibition with its concept taken from the well-known nursery rhyme. Its aim is to challenge the way we perceive things and re-contextualise common and mass-produced objects and themes. Sydney-based artist Michael Bennett has achieved this in a thought-provoking and incredibly funky way. Bennett, who is inspired by our ever-changing urban surroundings, has used aerosol, acrylic, mixed media and what looks to be a thick resin finish. This pop art features both buildings and people from all walks of life in a dazzling mix of black and white, pastels and bright colours.  It’s definitely worth a look.
