Cast Announced For My Fair Lady At The Sydney Opera House

The beloved and classic musical My Fair Lady will premiere at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, just in time for the upcoming 70th anniversary of the show. It will then move on to a season in Melbourne at the Ian Potter State Theatre in November.
Presented by Opera Australia and John Frost for Crossroads Live, a mixture of Australian theatre icons, established musical theatre favourites and exciting new emerging performers have been announced for the musical.
Leading cast members include Reg Livermore returning to the role of Alfred P. Doolittle, Robyn Nevin returning to the role of Mrs Higgins, Tony Llewellyn-Jones returning as Colonel Hugh Pickering, the much-loved Anne Wood as Mrs Pearce and Freddy Hellier in his mainstage musical theatre debut as Freddy Eynsford-Hill.
Casting announcements for the key roles of Eliza Doolittle and Professor Henry Higgins will be made in the coming months.
The Ensemble cast includes Anton Berezin, Eleanor Blythman, Devon Braithwaite, Rachel Cole, Natasha Dumlao, Blake Erickson, Peter Ho, Anthony Garcia, Matt Heyward, Tisha R. Keleman, Naomi Livingston, Madeleine Mackenzie, Kassie Martin, Mary McCorry, Julia McRae, Oscar Mulcahy, Tom New, Lachlan O’Brien, Morgan Palmer, Matthew Predny, Suzanne Steele, Troy Sussman, Natasha Veselinovic and Sam Ward.
This lavish recreation is based on the 2016 Australian production directed by Julie Andrews, who was catapulted into stardom when she originated the role of Eliza Doolittle, an irrepressible Cockney flower girl who transforms into a lady of society.
A heartwarming story of identity and change, My Fair Lady brims with razor sharp wit, unforgettable characters, and a stunning score including ‘Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?’, ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ and ‘Get Me to the Church on Time’.
