Moonlight Cinema returns with Summer blockbusters
Back for it’s 28th Summer season, the Moonlight Cinema event returns with a line-up of Hollywood blockbusters, playing at Sydney Centennial Park. The outdoor cinema experience provides film lovers a chance to enjoy screenings in a picnic setting under the stars.
Movie-goers can expect an array of films to choose from, including some of 2023’s most anticipated movies, a collection of festive screenings, family favourites and cult classics.
There will also be special events through the event season, with early December launching their ‘Pink Party’ weekend. The cinema space is expect to be adorned in pink as they play 2023’s smash hit, Barbie, with guests encouraged to dress up in their best Barbie and Ken attire.
Anticipating the Holiday season, there will also be plenty of festive films including Love Actually, Home Alone, Die Hard, Elf and many more.
Expect some nostalgia with Jurassic Park (1993) and The Mighty Ducks (1992) to hit screens, along with special previews of May December, and Taika Waititi’s Next Goal Wins.
Presented by EVT, General Manager of Entertainment Operations John Boero describes this seasons tenor as their “most exciting yet,” with “delicious” offerings along side their film selections.
“Moonlight Cinema has become a summer institution, where each year, our goal at EVT is to offer movie goers a truly unique and memorable cinema experience amidst some of this country’s most beautiful parklands and gardens,” Boero continued.
There will be an array of food and drink options available at the venue, including their new Official Aperol Spritz Bar providing the iconic Italian spritz beverages all season long.
Guests can also purchase tickets with exclusive benefits including AAMI Gold Grass, K9 Natural, Connoisseur Lounge and many other serviced ticketing options.
There is also the Platinum Experience packages, exclusive to Sydney and Melbourne, which includes deluxe bean bed seating, an exclusive picnic hamper from Victoria’s High Country and waiter service.
Guest are encouraged to bring along family, friends and pooches to screenings. The cinema also welcomes vistors to bring their own treats and beverages – BYO alcohol is permitted.
