Mindy Sotiri – Creatures in the Ceiling

Mindy Sotiri has a unique voice, she offers it to the listener in a conversational tone. Sotiri has a unique style of singing and of talking through her music that reverberates honesty and real life. She is an acquired taste, though, in the sense that it takes a few songs to get on board her drift.

Listening to Creatures in the Ceiling is like meeting someone for the first time. Mindy starts the conversation, she ambles, she leaves spaces for the listener to talk, she offers little pieces of familiarity, and by the end of it they would like to see her again sometime. (SP)
