MICK FOLEY & BRENDON BURNS: GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!

MICK FOLEY & BRENDON BURNS: GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!

“I’m asking people to trust me,” begins world renowned pro-wrestler Mick Foley.

“I’m not coming all the way to Australia to suck.”

Foley is best known for his days in the WWE ring, wrestling under personas Dude Love, Mankind and Cactus Jack. Life is still about getting a reaction out of the audience, but these days it’s easier on the body as he tours his Good God Almighty stand-up show.

“The transition from telling stories in the ring and telling stories on-stage seemed natural to me,” explains Foley. Along for the ride is Aussie comedian and wrestling fan Brendon Burns, “he’s an incredibly intelligent comic, to have a guy like that take you under his wing showed me that I had some real potential in this field,” says Foley.

It’s the comedic mash-up to end all mash-ups and audiences have been pleasantly surprised at the ‘evening with’ format. Foley is already an accomplished writer, couple this with his formidable on-stage presence and you’re guaranteed an excellent evening of storytelling.

“I love interacting with the crowd, it’s the closest I’ve come to reliving the joy I felt in the ring,” he explains. “If you’re on the fence, get off it and trust that I wouldn’t come to Australia to disappoint.”
