MIC CONWAY & ROBBIE LONG – STREET OF DREAMS

MIC CONWAY & ROBBIE LONG – STREET OF DREAMS

Mic Conway has dubbed his most recent collaborator Robbie Long, “Big Daddy Robbie Long Legs”. Well if we were try to pin a similar moniker upon Mr Mic Conway, perhaps it’d be Mic the Australian Crown Prince of Kazoo. Or maybe that should just be Clown Prince. He has much more to his musical oddball arsenal as well – ukulele, washboard, jug, harmonica and saw to list just a few. Street of Dreams is a collection of songs inspired by the surreal and hand picked covers with clever and quirky lyrics being the priority. Along with Conway originals Jug Band Man, You Gotta Smile and Speaking of L’Amour. This Vaudeville inspired and sound album is packed with puns and the listener is being nudged and winked at by the lyrics all the way through. Depending on the listener, the reaction may be as varied as laughing out loud or an almost retina-endangering eye-roll. This is one street that only exists today in dreams, maybe they are your dreams too?
