Matteo Bocelli to tour Australia
Proving the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, Matteo Bocelli, son of Italian opera singer, Andrea Bocelli, has recorded his first album and plans to tour Australia in March next year.
The album, simply titled Matteo, includes a mix of songs in English and Italian, with writing and production contributions from Ed & Matthew Sheeran, PARISI (Ed Sheeran, Fred Again), Jesse Shatkin (Miley Cyrus, Sia, Kelly Clarkson) and Stuart Crichton (Kesha, Backstreet Boys, Louis Tomlinson), among others.
Bocelli is a songwriter as well as a musician. He performs music that spans classical and contemporary genres, singing with a rich, mellifluous voice that is imbued with genuine emotion. His performances are spine tingling.
When he and his sister, Virginia, toured with his father last year, they were given a chance to showcase their own talents, and that they did.
Matteo Bocelli endeared himself to the Australian public and he, in turn, became enamoured of the land Down Under.
“I’m so excited to be coming back to Australia, this time with my own show. Australia is such a special place for me – I’ve had some of the best experiences of my life here, filming 3000 Years of Longing with George Miller in 2020 and then touring with my father last year. I can’t wait to be back,” said Bocelli.
