Mamma Mia – here we go again!

Catherine Johnson’s cult classic jukebox musical Mamma Mia!The Musical, featuring the music of Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, is making a return to Australian stages this year.
Produced by celebrated Australian creatives Michael Coppel, Louise Withers and Linda Berwick, this new production boasts an incredibly talented and well curated cast performing 22 of ABBA’s greatest and most iconic hits.
“The musical is a proven hit, an uplifting, fun-filled, heartfelt night where audiences are transported into another time,” says co-producer, Withers.
The lead role of Donna Sheridan will be played by well-established theatre performer, Elise McCann, known for her role as Miss Honey in the Australian production of Matilda The Musical, and her role in the 10th anniversary production of Mamma Mia! The Musical in 2009 as Ali.
Donna’s daughter, Sophie will be played by up and coming actor Sarah Krndija, who has recently featured in a handful of other musicals including 9 to 5 The Musical and Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical.
The Donna and the Dynamos trio is completed by acclaimed actors, Bianca Bruce as Rosie and Deone Zanotto as Tanya. Zanotto’s impressive CV includes performing on stages on Broadway and the West End.
Sophie’s potential fathers are to be played by award winning actor Martin Crewes, acclaimed theatre actor Drew Livingston, and theatre and screen actor Tim Wright. Sophies fiancé Sky will be played by Lewis Francis, renowned for his role in Phantom of the Opera.
Finally, there is an incredible 18 person support cast that will help bring this well-loved story to life on stage.
The musical will begin its 2023 tour in Sydney this May before going on to Brisbane and Melbourne.
