JAN PRESTON – MY LIFE AS A PIANO
The aptly titled My Life as a Piano creates a combination of human and piano, one joins the other, making a creature that is half person/half instrument.
Surrounded by similarly bonded humans and instruments, the strangely beautiful result is technically superior.
Singing about chores in The Housework Blues, Jan Preston and the surrounding instrumentalists make it sound easy.
The band is a pleasure to listen to, using blues techniques that make the best sounds of bad situations. Put it on when doing the housework, even cleaning the bathroom is not so bad with this album. (SP)
