The Irish Film Festival returns online nationally for the second consecutive year, owing to the ongoing lockdowns associated with COVID-19.

“In light of the uncertainty surrounding the current pandemic and in order to deliver our festival program in the safest way possible, we have made the tough decision to run this year’s festival online again,” explained Dr Enda Murray, Irish Film Festival Director.

In the comfort of their own homes, film festival enthusiasts will have a program of 12 contemporary Irish feature films and absorbing documentaries to choose from.

“We have a cracker of a lineup with seven Australian premieres including hilarious comedies, award-winning drama, sports and musical documentaries, and the voices of women coming through loud and clear!” enthused Murray.

With the constant extensions of COVID-19 lockdowns, we all need a good laugh and Deadly Cuts should feel the void. This hysterical comedy deals with a bunch of hairdressers who form a vigilante to fight the bad guys in Dublin.

Families are catered for in this film festival with animated feature Wolfwalkers from multi–Academy Award nominated & Award-Winning studio Cartoon Saloon. A story of magic and superstition.

Online nationally Sep 3–12. $10-$99+b.f. For Tickets & Info: www.irishfilmfestival.com.au
