A truly mind bending sci-fi experience is hitting Sydney’s streets with the Teleport: enLIGHTenment immersive experience. Hosted by leading Australia discovery platform, Fever, the experience will take attendees through an interactive and immersive quest into a vibrant science fiction world.

The experiences are the collaborative works of a global team of digital artists, who have come together to create several art installations. Described as a “mixed-reality rite of passage to the mystical dimensions of a hi-tech alien tribe”, the digital artworks span across all the senses, with visual, auditory and interactive art merging to create the immersive experience.

Guests can explore the CAVE, “a portal to ancient civilisation”, which will be lit up by LED lights and reflections, or PRESENSE, an installation by globally-renowned media art collective Media Tribe.

Teleport enLIGHTenment blurs the line between art and media, and pulls viewers into a separate dimension that could come straight out of their favourite sci-fi TV show.

Eddy Avenue hosts dazzling new show

The exhibition will be hosted in one of Sydney’s up-and coming creative spaces on Eddy Avenue. Transport for NSW announced a series of new tenants to the row of shops in Central Station in November last year, including a funky candle-making space, pizza and gin bar, and brand new radio studio.

The renewal of Eddy Avenue comes under a scheme to revitalise creative and food vendors throughout the Central Station area, called the Central Precinct Renewal Program. Now, events such as the Teleport enLIGHTenment experience are bringing Sydneysiders to the reinvigorated creative hub.

Teleport: enLIGHTenment will run from Wednesday February 1 to Wednesday April 26.

Tickets start at $18.
