I WANT TO BE A KING
This fascinating documentary explores the hopes and dreams of a humble farmer who has yearned from childhood to be a king, stating that “every success requires hard work”.
Abbas is married with 3 children and sets up his farm as a guesthouse once he realises the nomads in Iran are a viable worldwide tourist attraction.
According to Irian law, men can have multiple wives and for 3 years he has searched for another wife who could be the queen of a tribe he wants to establish.
His disgraced family is against his wishes and confrontational scenes as his young daughter insists she’s learning infidelity from her father are heart wrenching.
Adamant to reach his goal, Abbas will persevere even at the expense of his family.
Insightful and confronting, this documentary contains candid interviews and highlights that people in culturally diverse lifestyles are also determined to reach their goals, regardless of the obstacles. (MMo)
