GIG REVIEW – KNOX (FIJI) SUPPORTED BY AARON MARTIN AND ALEX GIBSON: April 17 at Blue Beat, Double Bay

There is no greater feeling than thoroughly enjoying the supporting acts of an already fantastic headliner.

Fijian-born musician Knox took Blue Beat on a walk through his world, and with support from local acts Aaron Martin and, recent contestant on The Voice, Alex Gibson; the night was sensational from start to finish.

Serious commendation must go to both Martin and Gibson. Martin provided a set brimming with heartfelt lyrics and subtle string plucking, showcasing a mash-up of Valerie and Fever that had everyone singing. Gibson and band followed in a similar vein, and his climactic tunes and powerful vocals breathed life into the room. 

Then with a voice so dynamically enthralling, Knox took to the stage and triumphed. Launching his new single, Candy, he and his ‘Brotherhood’ showcased a sound so captivating that it is evident he is a truly underrated star. (CD)
