Producing a hallucinogenic mix of high-art and the rainbow-hued stuff that tumbles out of a kids’ toy box, FriendsWithYou are a LA-based duo whose mission statement is as oblique as it is cute: “Magic, luck and friendship.”

The pair clearly has luck securing friends in high places, as their collaborations with rapper Pharrell, cult French boutique Collette, and installations at Miami Art Basel and the NYC High Line attest. With blow-up rainbow cities, kinetic prisms, deceptively simple happy/sad faces, animated clouds and bulbous metallic porcelain sculptures their staples, it’s hard to tell if they are savvily naïf or naively savvy.

Either way, for a full-blown pop-saturation your eyes need look no further.
