Fangoria x Monster Festival
Horror films have been frightening audiences since the silent film era. In 1915 the German silent film, The Golem was one of the first horror films to grace the silver screen. King Kong arrived in 1931 to cause havoc in New York City followed by Dracula, Frankenstein and The Mummy.
The horror genre is still popular today and occasionally terrifying films such as Halloween, Pet Sematary, It and A Quiet Place surface, but too infrequently for cinephiles who crave this style of film in their cinema-going experiences.
Hence this horror film festival has arrived in time for Halloween and film buffs have the opportunity to attend a marathon four-day weekend watching one terrifying horror flick after the other!
Anybody who has watched and enjoyed the blood-crazed Firefly family films should attend 3 From Hell, the opening night film, which is infiltrated with sadistic violence and regarded as Rob Zombie’s most horrific film in the franchise.
One film which is certain to have terrified audiences at the edge of their seats throughout is Rabid, which centers on a horribly disfigured lady who seeks a new medical treatment to recapture her beauty – but at what cost?
VIP passes are available for devoted horror film buffs who’d like to watch each of the 13 films screening at a greatly reduced admission price. (MMo)
