EXHIBITION: VIET NAM VOICES

EXHIBITION: VIET NAM VOICES

BY MICHELLE PORTER

Viet Nam Voices provides a unique opportunity for all sides of the Vietnam War to come together with dignity and respect.

The exhibition reflects on the cost to those involved in the war, and the impacts these experiences have had on Australian communities. On display will be photographs, art, home movies and personal testimonies created by Australia and Vietnamese war veterans, their families and anti-war protestors, as well as art from public collections.

Nicholas Tsoutas, Artistic Director of Casula Powerhouse, says the exhibition ‘has a cathartic and restorative purpose: to share the pain and sorrow that this war caused to individuals and to create new and healing dialogues.’

Viet Nam Voices is opening on 7 February at 5pm and runs until 15 March.
