Double bill, double thrill

Actors Pulse in Redfern is offering you an opportunity to see two shows in one.
The first play, called Tales of Kabbarli, is written by Geoff Sykes, who based his script on Daisy Bates’ writings. The play features Robyna Beard as Daisy Bates, the extraordinary woman who spent decades living with Indigenous people and was given the name of Kabbarli – grandmother.
Beard “creates a character as soft as early morning light and just as luminous. The music of her lilting Irish accent effortlessly entwines with the poeticism of Sykes’s script.” Sydney Morning Herald
The second work you will be treated to is African Beauty, which is described as “a fast paced personal celebration of traditional and modern African culture and dance, with Emilia Nwakpa”.
