Following its successful tour earlier this year, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: The New Musical Stage Adaptation returns this September to the Riverside Theatres in Parramatta.

Inspired by the original A.A. Milne series and Disney featurettes, the stage adaptation breathes new life into the iconic tale of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robins and all their friends.

Utilising life-size puppetry, stylistic stage design and original score by the Sherman Brothers, the show brings a whimsical performance that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, it has received critical acclaim following its US tour and London premiere last year. Consequently, it has also received Drama Desk and OBA award nominations for best Best Puppetry and Best Family Show.

“The music, the spectacular life-size puppets, and the charming performances are the perfect way to introduce (or re-introduce) audiences to live theatre, and this is a must-see show for Winnie the Pooh fans,” said Rockerfeller.

“We are excited to bring the Hundred Acre Wood to Australia so that audiences of all ages can join us for this heartwarming production.”

After making its Australian Premiere in Brisbane in July earlier this year, the cast toured around the country and performed to sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House.

This upcoming Australian tour with a new cast of Australian and New Zealander artists, will stop for a limited time in Parramatta this September.

Don’t miss out on seeing this visually spectacular and charismatic musical.
